About the author

Ella Tan

Ella Tan writes warm, funny picture books about the wonderfully complicated business of growing up. The Lazy Brain began at her own breakfast table, when bedtime battles and lost shoes with her daughter Emma turned into the story of a little voice in a child's head — one who wants the fun thing, the easy thing, or just five more minutes. Her stories help children aged 4–8 notice what their brains are asking for, laugh about it and find their own way through big feelings. She publishes the series under Love's Reckoning. When she isn't writing, she is collecting new stories from the small person who started it all.
